The first step to editing images is to import them to Elements. Here we’ll show you how to import photos, PDFs and JPEGs with Lightroom, we’ll add effects on top and open photos from memory cards.

Importing images

There are four ways to import photos:

Copy files over from other software or disk : Import photos from a disk or another image editing program such as Lightroom, Gimp, or even Apple PhotoBook or iPhoto.

Android video player: Should I open a new thread when calling the “resume” method?

I have an Android video player, and I need to “pause” a video (without destroying it) and play it again, so I found the setOnCompletionListener method.
Now, when a video ends, my player should resume at the right position, so I call the setOnCompletionListener method with the resume method.
But, when I call the resume method, the player resets the position to 0, and on the new call to setOnCompletionListener, it resumes at the previous position, and I don’t know why.
I’d like to know if I am doing something wrong, or if it is normal that the player just resets its position.
I found this same problem here but no answer was given, nor I could find any new methods to play a video just after it has been paused.

Create a New Layer: In this section, we will look at how to add a new layer in your Photoshop document.
The Layer palette is one of the most important tools in Photoshop, and it allows us to set the background colors for different layers within the document.

Adjustment layers are special layers that can be applied to an image to change its tone, hue or brightness. These layers give you complete control over the tonal range of an image.

Adjustment layers can be applied to any image layer, including layers that have text, or any other type of layer.
To add an adjustment layer to a new layer:

1. Click on the New Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers palette, or press Cmd + Shift + N to add a new layer.
2. After you click on the New Layer icon, a dialog box with a dialog box with a palette pops up.
3. Click on the gray arrow on the right side of the palette to reveal the layer thumbnail palette, click on the adjustment layer icon.
4. Click on the Add Layer Adjustment icon.

The Adjustment Layers palette allows you to change the brightness, contrast, and tint of an image by applying different adjustments to the layers.

In this section, we will look at some of the most commonly used adjustment layers in Photoshop.

The Tone and Curves Adjustment layers are useful for adjusting the color contrast, brightness and tinting of an image.
These adjustment layers are especially useful for giving a photo a more polished look without affecting the overall look of the photo.
To add a Tone and Curves adjustment layer to a new layer:

1. Click on the New Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers palette or press Cmd + Shift + N to add a new layer.
2. After you click on the New Layer icon, a dialog box with a dialog box with a palette pops up.
3. Click on the tone/Curves adjustment layer icon.
4. Click on the Add Layer Adjustment icon.

The Levels Adjustment layer allows you to adjust the brightness of an image.
